The dark colour shows it to be a good grounding stone to be used with the lower Chakra's.  It is said to prevent negative energies from entering our auras.

It helps with shyness and helps overcome addictions. It has a powerful connection to blood and helps to regulate blood supply. It helps with fevers as it draws heat away.

Do not wash this crystal to cleanse.  Merely burn some incense near to cleanse and re energise.
